Reverend Joyce Miles is an ordained minister in the Church of God and served nine years as pastor of the Southside Church of God in China Grove, North Carolina. Their outreach ministries included a soup kitchen, a food pantry, a clothes closet, parish nursing, nursing home ministry, ministry to abortion minded women, ministry to post-abortive women, ministry to veterans with PTSD, ministry to battered women, a batterers’ intervention program for those who batter, a parenting class, a class to help smokers to stop smoking, and more.
Joyce was a professor of Christian Education, teaching from 1989-1999 at East Coast Bible College, and from 1999 until 2013 at Lee University, Charlotte Center. She is the widow of Reverend Douglas Miles to whom she was married for 42 years, 5 months, and 5 days. Together, they pastored, evangelized, and served the Lord in missions. Joyce graduated from Lee University and from the Church of God Pentecostal Theological Seminary.
Joyce has spoken for Women’s Conferences, Christian Education Conferences, Camp Meetings, and Prayer Conferences in many states and foreign countries. She is known for her prayer services leading God’s people to pray their way through the tabernacle, beyond the Veil, and into the Holy of Holies, the very throne room of God! She ministers in the Circle of Care (for widows and others who are bereaved) which she conducts monthly in partnership with the Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home. She has ministered in Vietnam, Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Guatemala, and Trinidad. She loves the Lord and enjoys music, reading, prayer, and outreach ministries.
